The area of Zona Rossa is located in the central parts of Mexico City. The area was known as the most touristy and since the 60s also as centre for artists. It is also a ecenomic centre and an area that never sleeps, And, not the least, the most gay friendly area in this enormous city. Gay life moved here after the big earthquake in 1985.
As a gay tourist it's wise to get to this part of the city and plan further touristy explorations.
The city itself has 8.8 million people, and when including the suburbs, over 12 million people live here. Once you're here, you can spend a lifetime experiencing the many possibilities the city has to offer.
