Rotorua is a town in the region of Bay of Plenty, inland on the middle of the North Island of New Zealand. Rotorua is known for its thermal activity, as there are a number of geysers and hot bubbling mud-pools in the area. There are also some wells high on sulphur which means a slightly uncomfortable odour characterises the town. Rotorua has a mild, temperate climate and is by the shore of Lake Rotorua.
