How do elite athletes living as lesbian, gay or bisexual relate to gender and sexuality norms within sports? A recent study illustrates that competitive sports is characterized by heteronormativity. At the same time, there are queer moments and spaces where sports provide an arena for possibilities, rather than limitations.
